Through the generous support of The Conservation Fund, MMCDC continues to grow and strengthen its impact in the Merrick-Moore community. Their support plays a vital role in the work of the Samuel Green Sr. Community Garden, helping us cultivate fresh, healthy food while fostering environmental stewardship and community resilience.
Additionally, The Conservation Fund supports MMCDC through the Urban Conservation and Community Fellowship Program, which provides dedicated leadership and resources to advance our mission. Our current community fellow, L.A. Davis, is actively engaged in efforts to expand sustainability initiatives, community advocacy, and green space preservation.
MMCDC also benefits from The Conservation Fund’s annual Peer Exchanges, which allow us to connect with like-minded organizations, learn from national conservation leaders, and expand our partnerships. These opportunities help us bring innovative ideas and strategies back to our community, ensuring that we continue to grow, learn, and advocate for a healthier, more connected future.
